So my sister and I sent in applications to be on the biggest loser. It was quite the process, 10 minute video and all. I did it on a whim, and now I'm worried I might actually be called. Do I really have what it takes to wear spandex on national TV?!?
Eh, ya I do. MUAHA HA HA.
On a more realistic note. I've lost only around 10 pounds the last 9 weeks. :-( I know, at least it's a loss but it's getting VERY discouraging. I need to learn not to "medicate" myself with food. I've also been discouraged because I might get denied for a breast reduction. HELLO, wanting to go from an H cup to a D cup is not cosmetic. I'd love to have the insurance company people strap on my boobs for a day and then see if they deny me!

Holy smokes, I've thought about what it would be like to wear those spandex outfits on tv too... it must be a great motivator, eh?
A coworker of mine had a breast reduction and it was a NIGHTMARE getting the insurance to cover it. Overall, she was able to prove it really was hurting her back. You could see her spine starting to curve, giving in the weight! Right up until the surgery, she thought she finally had it approved only to find that something happened and it wasn't. So be sure to get your approval *in writing*.
Let me tell ya, it was WORTH the pain of dealing with the insurers because when all was said and done, I swear that girl lost 100 pounds overnight. Everything was different, even her demeanor and the way she carried herself. It was a painful recovery, but she said she'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Hang in there, Bobbie!
ooo! I will totally watch if you get on!!
hopefully you CAN get it covered. That sounds very... not fun.
H CUP??? Holy hannah ... I type reports on patients who are DD or DDD and are getting it covered. Your insurance SHOULD pay for it!
good luck with getting on the show!!!
