New Start. . .for good this time!

Okay, so I confess, I haven't been doing very well on exercising and moving made it so that food was packed up. . .so not much has been happening health wise although I did manage to lose a few pounds during the move. . .hmm. . .exercise of running up and down stairs and lugging boxes around helped.

Tuesday I was on facebook (when am I not?. . .in the middle of the night.) and I ended up on my list of groups that I have joined. One of my friends had started a group about how he lost weight. A while ago he invited me to the group and I joined but didn't really look at the page cause I was dealing with other health issues at the time. I wasn't having the greatest day (yay for being a woman) and so I told myself that I could feel better if I wanted to committ to it. So I did. I sent an e-mail to Steve and he responded and was very excited about me wanting to join him on the diet. He even went far enough to say I want to know how you are doing, keep me posted! YAY!!

Any who. . .here are the guidelines

NONE of the following:
No candy
No sugary drinks*
No fast food
No ice cream
No white rice
No white bread
No bleached flour products, this include pastas and certain cereals.

* fruit juice like simply juice is acceptable but concentrates are NOT.

I have done well so far. . .When I want to eat something bad for me I remember that I would have to tell Steve. . .not something I want to do. This is going to be good for my fibromyalgia anyway. I have also discovered that I have many friends that abstain from sugar rich foods for various reasons, usually health related. If they can do it, I know I can too!

This is what else Steve had to say: "What I have been eating is a lot of salads and sandwiches with whole wheat bread, lean meats and good cheeses like provolone. If I get mayo it's light mayo and it's the same thing with butter. If you snack do it smart, like veggies and stuff."

Its working. . .I have lost 1.5 pounds! yay!

I also need to arrange my room so that I can get my treadmill in there. That is next on the agenda.

It's working! I have lost 5 pounds already!! :D
