Kudos to all of you!
I have noticed that I have a better attitude when I eat better. . .who knew?
I have also begun to take care of myself better, like I have the energy to wash my face and moisturize it before bed. . .nice. I have even begun this strange little ritual of washing my feel and pampering them before bed. . .weird but it makes me feel fresh and relaxed.
I guess the main reason am posting is I have goals. . .I never set goals at the beginning of the year, and have never kept the ones I do. . .so I have a set of goals that I will work on for 1 year from yesterday.
1. No sugar. . .meaning Highly processed foods like cookies, cake, brownies. . .you know all the sweet tooth stuff? I do have an exception for artificial sweeteners although I wish to avoid those as much as possible. The other exceptions are xylitol and stevia which are natural plant derived sweeteners. (I will however still make pancakes and waffles. . .things like that because the recipe only takes like 1-2 tablespoons.)
2. No carbonation. I have noticed and heard that athletes do not drink soda. . .I figured that this is a good rule of thumb. . . besides if I want to be fit why not?
3. Exercise 6x30. . .Energy!
4. Portion control. . .I have begun doing things like counting out how many chips are 1 serving and I keep track of how much salsa I eat.
I think the reason that I am keeping to this is because I am looking forward to saying I have been off sugar since. . . or no soda since. . .exercising since. . .

Carbonation eats away your muscles. I was a on a strict no soda routine during track season for that reason.
Carbonation also makes it really hard for you to breathe when you are working out. My swim coach could always tell when I'd snuck a soda in training because I would end up breathing more often.
