So I started my 8 weeks to running 3 miles (5K) last night (using this program). It starts you out slow with a 10 minutes brisk walk, then build from there. I'm quite excited for it because it never really has you go for more than 20 minutes except for a brisk walk at the end of each week and then the 30-35 minutes for the run at the end of the 8 weeks. We'll see what happens. Hopefully I can stick with it because I'd like to be able to move into trail running next summer. I think that would rock.
Plus I'm hoping to use this to replace the whole emotional/bored eating thing.... so as long as I can build up to things, we should be good. So basically.. the quitter has to stick with it.
And keep eating my fruits and veggies!
