Hey Peeps. It's been a while. I haven't been on here for probably a couple years. A lot has been going on since I've posted. Mental, physical and emotional health has been a huge issue.
Been working on my mental and emotional health and right now I'm feeling like if I don't get a handle on my physical health. I never will. My body has been so out of whack since the PTSD break down 2 years ago I didn't know where to start. So I walk. If nothing else, I have two good feet, strong legs and can walk. At least 3 days a week no less than 1 mile.
I also recognized my body doesn't like carbs to much. When I eat them they sit in my stomach for hours and when I go to sleep at night, I wake up choking because it comes up. I also noticed heartburn when I eat carbs: pasta, potatoes, rice, breads. IT's not celiac (sp) or allergies. Carbs in Veggie's and fruits, I have no problem with.
This carb realization is a new discovery in the last 2 weeks. I think knowing your body, how it works, what it tolerates and what it doesn't is key to healthy weight maintenance.
When I was working as an herb specialist there was something called evil white foods:
white sugar
white bread
potatoes
white rice
white flour
white pasta.
(including cookies, cakes, ice cream etc which are usually made with white sugar and flour)
I recognize when I stay away from these or eat very little of them: No heartburn, no heavy sick feeling. No waking up in the middle of the night choking on vomit.
I got so sick 2 weeks ago I honestly thought I was going to die. I woke up at 2AM and couldn't take a breath due to aspiration (breathing in food, liquid of vomit) while I was sleeping. After about 15 second I was finally able to take breath and bring it out of my lungs and throat. I thought I was going to die. I decided time to make some changes. It's now or never.
Do y'all ever feel that way?

Let's Talk About the Stages of Pants!
We all do it, so lets talk about it! You see those pants, you know the ones! They're GORGEOUS on the hanger. The color is perfect. They go Perfectly with that shirt or blouse you just got on sale. You buy the pants w/o trying them on, cuz, you've been good and you just KNOW they fit. you get them home, put on that shirt and then the moment of troof! ( not truth... Troof!) You can't get them passed your knees. BUMMER! You are not only bummed, you're shocked! At Walmart you wear this size. At K-mart, you wear the size under that size. DANG SHOPKO! Never going THERE again. Well shoot, I like the pants, so I'm keepin em. Cuz Im gonna fit them in 2 months. UH HUH, da's right in 2 months! You put the pants away and forget about them. 2 months go by. then 4 months. Then Spring time is here! You're checkin out the wardrobe and preparing for your new spring fling, cuz this spring you are destined for LUV! Gotta get that wardrobe hooked up. Buy you some stylish shorts and that new light weight hoodie. Don't forget them flip flops or summer breezy toes hanging out shoes! You're packing up your winter clothes and switching to the spring clothes. Then you find them....... the pants! You grudgingly thing back to when your first purchased them and silently accuse..."TRAIDER!" I'll show them pants. You grab them and begin to put them on....... ever....... so....... slowly.........! You stop at the knees and close your eye's and then you pull with all your might. AH HA! They suckers are passed my knees but came to an immediate halt at your lovely hips! SHOOT! You hear the pants snicker as you pull them off and wad them up tossing them in the back of the closet again. We aren't through yet, you think. You go about your spring without that fling you were counting on and move on into summer. You aren't thinking of the pants because its to darn hot for short not to mention pants. Summer moves into fall and the weather becomes cooler. You swap out your warmer clothes for the cooler one's again. It's been 3 months since you've run into those pants but you find them again at the back of the closet. The sight of them almost piss you off. They're still cute and would go fabulous with that new sweater you got. *Sigh* yeah, I'm trying them on again. You grab them, and without hesistation... you just quickly pull them on. They dont stop this time, you've got them passed your knees and hips and they're on your waste! You jump up and down a little and start to fasten them! shoot. There is 5 inch span between the button and the button hole. You take that deep breath and suck in! Now there's only a 4 inch span between the button and button hole. ARGH! How freakin frustrating. You kick off the pants and just let them lie in the middle of the floor so you can kick them again when you see them. Eventually they're back in the closet again. You forget about them all together until next winter. You're cleaning out your closet and doing a DI/Salvation Army run getting rid of some clothes. As you're stuffing your plastic bags full of DI/Salvation army goodies, you find...... "THE PANTS!" Augh! You just stuff them in the bag without a second thought. Your piles of clothes are sitting by the door ready for you to take tomorrow. You sit down at the end of the day to watch some tv. 2 hours later, you wake up from a crooked neck pain. You get off the couch and stumble your way to your bedroom and accidentally kick over the back with the pants. You look down to find them smiling... almost laughing at you. Punk Pants, you think. you gave them and while your mind tells you.............."NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Before you know it, you're putting on the pants. You pull them up and fasten them in one quick motions. They fit! OH MY GOODNESS THEY FIT! You take them off and put them back on to make sure! Quick. to the mirror you run. You have the see them fit! They're a little tight but they fit and you're gonna wear them to work tomorrow! HAHA! We showed THEM pants!
* I wore mine yesterday! And they looked good!* I'm keepin em!
That's what we call..... SHABANG!
